VILLA ESTONIA
Architecture · Interior · Landscape
A house set into a snowbound Estonian forest, shaped to belong to its landscape rather than sit on it. Angular concrete volumes fold into the terrain, half-sheltered by the snow, while a tall glazed wall opens the interior to the pines and the winter light.
Inside, the mood turns warm. Timber lines the walls and ceiling, softening the concrete and holding heat in against the cold outside. Paper-globe light, woven chairs and a long communal table make the space quiet and grounded — Scandinavian in feeling, made for slowness. At its heart is a wellness zone designed for rest and recovery, a calm counterpoint to the extreme landscape beyond the glass.
